The domain of the pedagogy at the Kanner Helpdesk offers advice, diagnosis, and therapy in context with:

  • concentration

  • reading/spelling/calculating problems

  • dyslexia

  • dyscalculia

  • perceptions (optical differentiation, optical memory, optical seriality, auditory differentiation, auditory memory, auditory seriality, spatial orientation, body scheme).


  • schoolwork organization

  • AD(H)D-Coaching

  • Group training in social skills

are available.



Target groups

Please note:

Therapies can be worked out on an individual basis or in small groups of children.

We can set up a cooperation with a multifunctional network of specialists (doctors, psychomotor therapists, ergo therapists, speech therapists, nutritional consultants ...).

Target Group: Parents/Guardian

  • Detection of problems in children and teenagers.

  • Information on the problems existing.

  • Supporting activities: How can we help? Who should we contact? etc.

  • Coaching: finding, developing, and making use of the strong points of the parents or guardian to give educational help to children and teenagers and simultaneously supporting relief to the parents/the guardian.

Target Group: Child/Teenager

  • Specific diagnosis: detecting weak and strong points,

  • explanation of the problems existing,

  • offering support: taking advantage of strengths to compensate weaknesses.

  • All this takes place in co-operation with the parents.

Target Group: Teachers

Further to inquiry, teachers can be offered support with the permission and co-operation of the school director:

  • Information about possible problems for the teaching staff.

  • Support with various teaching techniques.

  • Attending meetings between school and parents to offer supportive coaching to find a consensus between school and home.

  • Supporting the child during lessons.

Target Group: Institutions

("Supervision" according to demand)

  • Discussing case studies.

  • Availability of information.

  • Advice to the personnel.

  • Attending meetings between school and parents to offer supportive coaching to find a consensus between institution and home.

What kind of support can be offered?

Supporting programmes can be individually set up and may include:

  • motor-pedagogical aspects

  • training in reading, spelling and calculating; training to overcome dyslexia and dyscalculia

  • training in perception and concentration

  • aspects of relaxation


Please note :

On request, pedagogical reports can be provided also referring to anamnesis, test diagnosis, conclusive and supportive programs.
